We’re looking for an experienced and driven Rental Business Manager to lead, develop, and grow our rental operation based at our Alrewas Head Office.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines strong operational management with commercial expertise. You’ll oversee the day-to-day running of the rental function, ensuring it operates efficiently and delivers an outstanding customer experience while also driving growth through local business development and customer relationship management.
You’ll lead a small, dedicated team to increase utilisation, revenue, and profitability. This is a role for someone who enjoys on taking ownership, building relationships, and making a impact.
The Role
- Lead and develop the rental team to deliver excellent customer service and operational performance.
- Oversee daily rental operations, ensuring vehicles are maintained, prepared, and compliant.
- Drive business growth through local prospecting, cold calling, and developing new customer relationships.
- Strengthen relationships with existing customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to share leads, align opportunities, and support group-wide growth.
- Monitor fleet utilisation, rates, and customer satisfaction to maximise performance.
- Ensure all rental processes and documentation are accurate, compliant, and efficient.
- Take responsibility for driving operational, commercial, and financial success within the rental function.
About You
- Proven experience in commercial vehicle rental, leasing, or logistics is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Commercially astute with a track record in business development or sales.
- Excellent communicator with a customer-first mindset.
- Organised, proactive, and confident making decisions that drive results.
