Hexagon Leasing would like to congratulate our customer Batemans Brewery as they mark 150 years in the business in 2024.
The company, which brews 10,000 hectolitres per year, operates 50 pubs and a Free Trade network across Lincolnshire, the East Midlands and Norfolk. It was established by George Bateman in Wainfleet, Lincolnshire in 1874 and remains one of the few, independent family breweries in the UK.
Hexagon has been working with Batemans since 2022, who contract hire their entire HGV fleet of bespoke brewery specification 12T and 18T DAF curtainsiders from us.
Nick Parker, National Accounts and Business Development Manager said: “I would like to congratulate Batemans on reaching this milestone achievement. Hexagon is proud to be their fleet service provider of choice and we will be raising a pint to them in celebration.”
To mark the landmark year, Batemans is launching a new cask beer, Five Generations (5G), a 4.2% ABV beer brewed with English hops, as well as a Limited Edition bottled beer; Tradition with Ambition, a 7.8% beer which was brewed over 10 years ago and has been maturing in bottle, ready to celebrate the 150th anniversary.
Five Generations celebrates five generations of the Bateman’s brewing family. Stuart and Jaclyn Bateman are the present guardians of the family brewery, with Stuart’s children presently training at other breweries in preparation for carrying on the tradition.
