Further to announcement on the 23rd March from the Prime Minister and in order to help prevent the spread of Covid-19, Hexagon Leasing are implementing several policies which will minimise the reduce of infection not only to our own staff, but to all our customers and suppliers as well.

Our clients and suppliers should be assured that we will be operating as close to normal as possible. As of Wednesday 25th March 2020, we will be implementing the following policies which we feel with be effective in reducing contact where not necessary whilst maintaining our high standards of service as much as possible during these difficult times.

Vehicle MOTs

The DVSA have issued a statement detailing that vehicle MOTs have been suspended for up to 3 months and any vehicle that is due is eligible for an extension. We will be closely monitoring the situation to ensure that when the vehicles can be Mot’d again, we’ll plan with yourselves to ensure everything is captured and compliant.

Vehicle Deliveries

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19 we are having to structure our movements to ensure that there is as minimal contact with vehicles as possible. We’re relying on movement companies who screen their staff for the virus, and it may mean movements take slightly longer than the service we usually offer.

We ask you to please bear with us during these times and understand that we’re still putting all the effort to move vehicles as quickly as possible to keep the nation running.

Vehicle Collections and Site Visits

We will however allow vehicles to be collected from our Derby site when you cannot wait. To avoid cross contamination, we’re allocating hour long slots to customers where you can come and collect the vehicles with the secure knowledge that there will be minimal contact with other people.

The Rental team will co-ordinate with anyone who wants to collect a vehicle from us or deliver a vehicle to us but please understand we will not be able to accept vehicles that turn up unannounced to our site.

Scheduled Servicing at Derby Site

Please be aware that in order to help prevent the spread of the virus we are no longer allowing drivers to wait on site whilst their vehicles undergo planned maintenance. Any vehicles that are brought here for inspection/service/repair work will need to be left here and collected once the work has been completed.
